I am getting some conflicting advice on this from my dep. I wondered what other people are doing? I know I feel more comfortable writing in the 1st and have come across a few more papers and books written in the 1st rather than the 3rd, but one of my supers is dead against it.
I've still got 8 months to go but recently my supers have started asking me what I might do next & in my transfer viva the head of research was very keen to know what my post PhD plans may be. Someone told me the other day to start looking for work 6 months before I finish..what does every one think?
If you can get some Basil essential oil in a burner, this is really good if you're a bit weepy and for balancing hormones. Also treat your self to an indian head massage - you may find that after, it actually makes you have a good old cry - this is quite common if the person receiving is feeling a bit low - but it's really good for a release of "emotional toxins".
sending you a big hug.
Based purely on location go for Sussex. The campus is a little out of town but there is a train station and lots of regular buses. Leeds is a great little city but Brighton is fab and only 55 mins from London + lots of over seas students and tonnes going on what ever your bag is. After London, Brighton is my fav place in the UK.
I am sure they are very comfy, nevertheless so are birkenstocks, flip flops, bumps, wedges & trainers, none of which are the ugliest lump of middle class rainbow emporer's new shoes known to humankind. Sorry Shani, you seem such a nice person, so I am duty bound to tell you don't do it. Your feet will never recover.
