No joy I'm afraid the citations remain the same...I wonder if I unformat the documents first then format???? I wish I'd taken computer sciences instead of social ones!!!! Cheers for the idea...any others gratefully received x
Ohhh I'm off to try it now....fingers crossed brb x
I updated them last week (when I got my nice new shiny laptop
Its sooo frustrating having a quick machine in my comfy living room but having to use my crusty ole comp in my dingy office.
I wonder when Endnote will relese a vista compatable version and if there will be a student upgrade available?
Thanks for replying though makes me know I'm not alone out here in the ether!!
lol D x
Help help help!!! I updated to vista and at first all was ok. Then when I opened up my documents the field codes have been inserted, I click to remove them and a new version of the document appears that looks fine however when I try to insert a citation it inserts it like this: {Andreassen, 1994 #100} and does not add it to the bibliography.
Anyone out there able to help...I have mailed endnote but am desperate to get on and can't!!!!
cheers xxxxx
spiffing idea pimms and ice anyone......count dazed in will you old chap
Mmm may I suggest a comparative analysis of overseas rivers and oceans...say The Med? My justification of this would be to ascertain the effect warm liquid has on the material as oppsosed to the freezing conditions prevelant in Britain.
Also would the addition of alcohol and a nice tan in anyway skew the results????
Mmm 404...could you please submit a detailed research proposel including methodology explaining how you would compensate for outside factors and what your control newspaper would be.
I will then consider your proposel and seek funding for an in field experiment in London...or a bath tub of your choice....he he he
mmmmm now I am torn between the times and the guardian......I do think the independent def. has to go it just pee'd me off reading it this morning...although I would miss Alex James contribution his column is quite witty.....decisions decisions
Mmmm seems like the guardian is winning out...although the thought of attempting (note I say attempting not completeing) the Times crossword is appealing.
I like to read a paper with breakfast when everyone else has left the house...unless I can persuade hubby we need a comp in the kitchen...I don't think he will buy it though!!! I dare not sign up for the bbc news alerts or I would never get any work done!!!
xx
Katq.....
Luckily I never got time to get cold feet as I applied July started September. I have had a love/hate relationship with my PhD so far but overall I wouldnt change a thing!! I can swim around in the dark for weeks then all of a sudden get this glimmer of enlightenment...which is such a rush...I usually ring my husband and talk at high speed for about 10 mins before drawing breath! My kids are so proud of what I am doing and my husband is thrilled.
It is a big undertaking, in those first few months you will feel at sea and lost, you wuill go through periods of hating your supervisor BUT knowing that what you are doing is unique and worthwhile is one heck of a big reward!
I also had to work hard to get my BA/MA and I have to work hard now to keep up but its worth every second!!!
Thats another thing...behaviour!! There is a meal in the evening and I like a glass of wine but don't want to let myself down by eating with wrong impliment/drinking too much etc etc!!!
Mmmm methinks I will stay away from white cardis...but seems its up north something warm is order of the day.
I'm sure there is a witty remark on white fluff and poultry but my brain is too frazzled to make the connection.....your is def. more 'grown-up' than mine!!!
Tricky...whats yours on??
I particularly like the bit in mine about managing your supervisors!!!
Mmm so is smart casual jeans and a shirt? I don't think jeans and a t-shirt is acceptable ...or can I get away with it?
My clothes are limited so think I may hit meadowhell at the weekend for some stuff.
And shoes...can I wear trainers? I don't posess a pair of shoes and would be loath to buy any as they would never get worn.
Any chance we can get clothes on expenses...I mean its kinda legit isnt it???
Also a lie in...I havnt had a lie in for 19 months!!! Sheer bliss!!!
Mmm I am in first year and do mon-fri 9-5 but am beginning to think I need to do some evenings too as I can't keep up with all the reading. I wish I did feel able to fit it in but I can't...maybe its about how we use our time?
As for sex I am married so not strictly legit for this one but since starting PhD my sex life is great...after all day cooped in my office I'm raring to get out or errrr ahem stay in!!
