i'm sorry!!! I wrote teh above in jest... !!!! It wasnt a very serious post!!!

my supervisor is being nice to me. I dont know why... but she is paying the group pay lots of money so I can buy data from an organisation... She also noticed I was stressed on weds and asked how i was.

I am worried...and suspicious about her motives. There are 2 possibilities -
1. first supervisor said - if her report is crap - then u are getting the blame.
2. she actually read my work and thought it had potential.

I dont understand. I am sure she will be horrible again on tuesday... but this isnt normal at all.

its usually best to give an over all picture....this is the problem - this is how it effects u -this is my idea - this is how i will go about doing it - here are the results - this is how it will effect u - conclude saying how cool it all is. Then take questions.

this is normal..... ur supervisors meant to have a general and help u with finding a research question. Your supervisor is also meant to help guide ur work.... its normal for them not to know much - cos ur becoming the expert...

i am being jointly supervised by her and a prof.... so i guess its ok. Its now school policy to have joint supervision or supervision teams... i guess thats cool ... i jst have to focus on getting my phd now .... but apparently she has to send her corrections off to the external examiners... does that mean that tehy are major corrections and her thesis wasnt that good?

its quite nice and quiet i guess... :-(

I think you need to argue your case. If you believe that much in your methodology then prove that it will make a good enough contribution in your field. Argue it logically and academically. Find other papers and thesis that you could use to back it up. Your second supervisor obviously has point and it maybe worth considering their views... Dont be crushed - debate and questioning is normal in academia - take positive action.

i'm in faraday... bt pass of ecs... so was kind of effected by the fire.
