Recording telephone interviews

Thank you! I have now found the acoustic coupler which one of my supervisors gave me ages ago :$ - it works brilliantly! You just attach it to the phone (where the sound comes out) and then plug it into a digital recorder. :-)

I think there is an app for the iphone and for some HTC phones (which is what I've got), I'm not sure how well they work. In any case, the mobile phone signal is virtually non-existent in our house - unless you're half-way up the wall at the front of the house, where my mobile is currently perching. :$

Thanks for those papers, Ady! I've found the first one but don't have access to the second one (http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/09500799509533370) - if you have it, is there any chance you could possibly send it to me? :-)

Thanks again!

Recording telephone interviews

Has anybody found a good way of recording telephone interviews? Are the little digital gadgets that you connect to the phone line any good? There's also Call Trunk, which records the interview for you (but you need to pay) - has anybody used it? Are there any other options? I've got to do a telephone interview soon and am beginning to panic about how I'm going to record it!

Thanks. :-)

Does anybody have access to this paper? Unfortunately I can only access it as far back as 1999. :-(

Hi Rosie, I've already completed the questionnaire (I think - I'd better check!), but I'll see if my husband will do it. :-)

Ooops, I haven't done it yet! Will do it now. :-)

I've managed 8 tomatoes today - not a huge amount, but I've also made food, tidied up and sorted out the kids, so on the whole I'm pleased. :) Might do some more later on.

Good morning. :-) My first goal: send email to supervisors. Shouldn't take too long as most of it is already written ...

ETA: Done. Next goal: finding more websites. :-)

Great idea, I will join in too. :-) I've done two tomatoes so far, but I doubt I'll get many done as it's the school holidays ... Still, I'm hoping to work until lunch time or so, and maybe some more in the evening. :-)

Please help with an article from science direct...

It's on its way. :-)

!*HELP NEEDED PLEASE*! Could you spare 20ish minutes completing a survey for my MSc in Health Psychology?!

Done. :-)

The One Goal Thread
M

Good morning. :-)

I'm not sure how much PhD work I'll get done today, I feel a bit in limbo! I'm trying to recruit participants and have put up several posts on internet discussion forums (one of my two main ways of recruitment, can't tackle the second one until I've had the go ahead of another organisation). So far, no response. :-( (Apart from one, who turned out not to be suitable.) I'm seriously concerned that I'll not be able to recruit enough participants. I might have to completely re-think my study design. :-(

Anyway, first goal: put up post on yet another discussion group. :-)
