I didn't see the skull thingie or newsnight, but I have to say in defence of Damien Hurst that many moons ago I went to the Sensation exhibition at the RA and his cow cut in half was part of the collection. I'd always poo pooed him as emporer's new clothes, but just as Tricky described it was mesmerizing and I could have stood there all day looking at it - it was fascinating / provoking / an expierence. I don't know much about art, but it really changed my view on him.
Did anyone ever see the weather project sun installation at the Tate Modern a few years back?
Thats my best bit of art, ever ever.
