Guys, please dont worry yourselves. I'm in the second year of a social sciences PhD and for those doing similar I can tell you that a lot of your first year will be spent reading and working out what the hell your thesis will be about(which by the way may change drastically ). Add into that if your teaching undergrads aswell and it may feel at times that you're making not much progress at all!! Your first year, however, is about the ground work, keep a bibliography and regularly update it and you'll realise that your actually doing a helluva lot more than you think you are!
Waiting to get in the shower and it's being thoroughly hogged by my housemate...how long can it take to shampoo, condition and shower, I mean is she bathing in asses milk in there or something?!?!. Grrrr she just beat me into the bathroon as welll...double grrr
Heya, I dont think its a good idea to diagnose yourself courtesy of wikapaedia. Really, the best thing is to make an apponitment to see your GP. If your uni health centre is anything like mine, they'll have a counciling service at least, or a therapist which your GP can refer you to. It does sound as if you have some of the symptoms of depression, perhaps. To discuss it futher and yoUr options I think that you need to see a professional. Dont stew alone by yourself, its the worse thing you could do. All the best, D
