"scary" stories (even more than me)
I

Don't get me started - the list is endless. I've always encountered strange experiences. And it's not just that I'm often up late, alone and in the dark, sleep deprived! Although still healthily sceptical, the mounting evidence over years at different times and places has swayed me... I'm more scared of people than ghosts though.

Go on - tell us!

Since I've found this forum I can't imagine having a 'few weeks off'. How do you do that? I sit down to write, but then... oh no! Not again! click - here I am.

Ooh! It was only a matter of time before we could resist no more I think that the nasty, ignorant - nay, STUPID - girls are showing themselves up. Hopefully they'll get what's coming to them.

However... Shilpa is being a bit of a victim. She could probably help herself more than she is doing (if she would only leave the kitchen)!

Not that I've been watching.

Hey Piglet - you noticed that everyone else seems to have dropped off this thread? (Except for coastman who seems to have been enjoying his new smiley all over the place!)

Do you think we scared them off...?

Hi Piglet - you must be completely 'at peace' to sleep so soundly. I, on the other hand, frighten myself when it's dark: little noises could be someone creeping up... the curtains MUST be drawn. And remember to pee before you go to bed because the devil might grab your ankle as you slip it out from under the duvet and go to set it on the floor.

Do you think counselling would help?! *LOL* at how insane I sound! Actually, it's something I'm used to now.

The clue's in my username! I had a baby during the summer holidays after my first year at uni (as an undergrad many moons ago...) and got into the habit of working through the night. It stuck! Over the last decade I've had all my best ideas and been most productive when the world around me is fast asleep - it's so peaceful, quiet. Some people get bleary and stop making sense with only a little sleep deprivation, but I become more alert as the night goes on - I literally have to set myself a deadline/bedtime, then (eventually) drift away to the sound of talk radio (others' conversation distracts me from my own thoughts/concerns).

Googled 'patooba' - appears to be American slang for big back-side! I'm sure yours isn't!

Did anyone else put on weight, or was it just me???
I

You sound like me Bobby, just an inch taller! Just bought a stepper and have been sweating out half an hour a day this week - we'll see how long that lasts! Prefer myself at 9 1/2, although I'm told I'm too skinny at that weight... pish!

Pea, I only discovered the forum a couple of months ago, but I agree with everyone else - you're lovely. And very brave - that's a proper two fingers up to someone who should have known better!

What a great word Piglet - can I use it (same applies to me, hehe)?
Did you pull an all-nighter? Our lifestyle is so unhealthy! I think I must have been programmed wrongly, or been a fox in a past life.

Piglet speaks a lot of sense, and as for Tricky's 'light relief' ... it's true - it can get lonely and frustrating (especially at this time of night) and reading a variety of intelligent - and sometimes even witty - perspectives on life, the universe and everything is a welcome tonic.

Midnight munchies Piglet?

how old are all of you guys?

This thread reads a bit like an AA meeting:
'Hello Everybody. I'm an Insomniac and I'm, I'm...I'm 32!'

lol - I decided some months ago to grow my hair colour out so that I could remind myself of my 'natural' colour before I start going gray!
