I think sups like to keep the comments for meetings to make the meetings longer so they feel like they're doing something. Definitely email in advance and fingers crossed for a reply. My sup always prints things out for commenting so I usually get back lots of illegible red scribbles on my work and we've to spend the meeting deciphering them :)
I used to drink goats milk because it's brilliant for skin allergies and problems like eczema but it is just too much hassle to get most of the time, so I only do it now and again. Don't really like to drink milk so cereal is brilliant, and hot chocolate. I love yoghurts and cheese though. Favourite cheeses include cheddar, of course, port salut (i eat on its own), brie and its friends, boursin with crackers, goats cheese crumbled onto/into anything and cheese strings (ie mozzarella) because they're fun to eat. Especially when stressed, nothing like tearing something apart :)
What a great thread! I went through a LionMan addiction last year, then they started showing America's Next Top Model at that time instead so got addicted to that. I've been through a long list of book,tv and comic addictions. Most recently the big bang theory. Also addicted to crochet and the 'usuals' :)
Well done all the fruit eating and exercising people. Beware that you can only count 1 banana and 1 juice towards your 5 a day. Smoothies are different and count according to what fruit goes in them.
Secondly, for those not lactose intolerant milk is good for you. The benefits outweigh any negative sides. Especially if you're female, osteoporosis and all.
I went dancing last night and had great fun using loads of energy. Will try so some yoga/exercises later. Husband has me on an exercise plan that started really easy but is getting progressively harder. Tough but fun. I've so much more energy already, only a week later.
It's the treats that get me. The free biscuits in work sometimes, the buns when visiting etc.
Yeah. I got distracted all of today so far. Looks like I'll be a busy girl tonight. Also trying to work on finishing up some stuff to send to sup so that I cna be waiting for feedback. Working far too slowly at the moment. It takes me days to get pages and then sometimes I've to go back and take out an entire page or two. Sometimes even start from scratch again. I'm intimidated by your word count - it seems immense to me!
ps. bad teacher in the past can always be made up for later. When you're ready the numbers will be just as fun as they always were. Just imagine them in little fluffy hats and booties :)
Hee hee hee not too far off the truth, everyone I know says I have cat-like tendencies. Also usually say that I 'play with' whatever I'm supposedly 'working' on :) Working on writing up a piece of work at the moment, but still have parts of it to finish too. It's a nice mix of writing, typing, corrections from sup and nitty gritty maths with abstract themes.
So glad to hear you're taking things a little easier and getting your feet back under you again. Submitting to the second journal sounds like it might even have been the best plan anyway and now you have extra feedback to make it even better.
P.S. so few people in this world will ever be able to say they worked at something they loved. Sometimes thinking of all these jealous people keeps me going :)
What a lovely idea Teek of the muffins. The pics and letter sounds great too. I'm going to make a handmade card, just like when I was in school. I sometimes think my mum would have preferred if I hadn't grown up :) added bonus of cheapness and real thought. Will visit over the weekend too.
I started crocheting a little shrug for her in December to have ready for mothers day but it's taking forever so have abandoned that for her birthday (july) and started a scarf which i *hope* to have ready on time. Also scarf made for mother-in-law. I like crochet presents because they give me an excuse to buy the wool and enjoy the stress-busting craft!
Husband's mother will really appreciate a visit more than anything else so will try fit that in too. Difficult as they live a few hours away by public transport with connections etc.
