Ah I see. Ok, thank you so much for trying! :)
Hi folks, am trying to track down this article:
Psychological issues in the design of secure care facilities (2004)
By: Day, Andrew; Wharton, M.
vol. , pp. -, 24th Annual Congress of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law, Port Douglas, Qld.
Much appreciated!!
Hi Emaa. I have access to it. I can email it to you?
Hi, I did similar to what you described and as noted by PsychAlpaca, I referenced Braun and Clark as well. I am having the paper published so I think it's quite acceptable to have a generic thematic analysis. Good luck!
I have used more general phrase (e.g. most, a few) as well as numbers like emmaki did. I also included in table in my paper (Thematic Analysis) on the number of participants who had endorsed each theme/ sub-theme. I see numbers as giving more concrete information.
Sure Tulip! Hope to power through this thing myself! Will PM you.
Hi guys! So the idea behind SUW is to force ourselves to commit time to writing without distractions. With my attention span to make any gnat jealous, I tend to get so distracted in coffeeshops I would never get anything done.
So there's a group which is run on Twitter #SUWTues which happens every 1st and 3rd Tues of the month. The moderator calls out start and stop times along with breaks and follows the pomodoro schedule (25 min work; 5 min breaks). Here's the link explaining it.

I have found it useful in real time but again need to be in a room by myself and facing a wall! So I envision doing the same if anyone else is interested but maybe connecting via a phone app or Facebook messenger (or similar, if the group is more than 2 people).
Hi folks, it's really do or die time for me to write up my work. I still have difficulties sticking to the task and constantly procrastinate with writing. What I have found helpful was Shut up and write style workshops.
I am trying to find one like SUW Tuesdays which is moderated on Twitter. But their twice a month schedule is way to infrequent for me.
Any suggestions? Or anyone here wanting to get on board some virtual writing workshop?
Hi I just tried with my school's library. It looks like we dont have a subscription to this journal unfortunately. Good luck with it.
Hi lovely folks of the postgrad forum.
I am trying to get my hands on this article, but my library does not seem to carry it. Some help please???

Hi folks! Hope everyone's study is going well!
I'm in the midst of a qualitative research project, and have hours of audio files to transcribe. I have been warned that each hour of interviews will take about 5-6 hours to transcribe.
I wonder if anyone has a audio file to text software to recommend? Preferably freeware? ,-)
I am not too worried if there is some compromise of accuracy since i will be checking the quality myself.
Hope to find something that will save me hours of pain (that can be spent on other painful activities :-))
Cheerio and thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone for your quick replies! Very much appreciated since I need to get my proposal in soon. I will try each of these suggestions (and recommend them to others as well! ) :-)
Hi all, I am just beginning to gather journal articles for my thesis. I want to have a better idea of the quality of the journals that I find as a trawl through the databases. Could someone please advise on a website etc that has lists journals by quality (impact factor or the like?)
Thank you! :)
