Hecky yes!!! Like Pineapple my DH already calls me Dr anyway...ok ok he calls me doctor when we are being kinky and its examination time...ooopss that was too much information...anyway. Yes I will use the title I've worked for it and I have sacrificed one hell of a lot for it...But I won't insist on it being used beyone first meeting with anyone...I will also send it to the teachers who wrote me off at school ha ha ha...look where your negativity got me then!!!!
Well done!!!!! I love hearing about those who complete...gives me hope!!!
Well done!!! Is this a promotion from sitting cross legged in the corner with a typewriter???
Yeahhhhh...I looked on the upgrade as a curse for so long and now I am beginning to finsih it up its made things so much clearer and for the first time I can visualise this thing coming together!!!
Hope this is where you are at and where you can now stay!!!!!
Well done
Hey there, I am not clever I am not that bright, I left school with no qualifications, I have only got where I am through hard work and a lot of slog. You need the ability to follow conventions more than the need to formulate life changing theories. As long as you can read things critically you should be able to make the connections between others work and your own.
It irre;levent what you want to do after your PhD This is about you at this moment so forget what you want to do with the PhD later.
Be methodical and tackle small pieces at a time, don't be downhearted by criticism from sups. You will get criticism whatever you do in life. Your supd must have thought you capable of continuing otherwise they would have bought this up by now.
Chin up love, try to re-capture what it was that made you interestd in the first place,
xxxx
I didn't get two schlorships I applied for but aced the third...and I only got a 2:1 as well...go for it nothing ventured nothing gained!!!!!
How does an elephant ask for a bun??
"Give us a bun"
Heyyyy baaaaaaabbyyyyyy....just for you CM
Hi there!!!!
I'm Dazed and I am looking at satisfaction and the public services..just approaching upgrade so a little stressed out....welcome!!!
We have changed our entire set of kitchen lights to ones that take energy saving lightbulbs (the previous ownere fitted ones that were burning 9 GU10 bulbs!!).
I have annoyed the council asking for more recycling faciliites (at present we have to drive miles to get to plastic/cardboard recycle bins which sort of negates the whole thing
Nothing left on standby anymore and we have has a thrmostat fitted so we only use what we need.
I now walk to town not drive.
My husband has pioneered the paperless office in his business and other departments have expressed an interest in too...although not breaking their necks to give it a go!!!
I do however still drive a gas guzzler BUT I do have 5 children so I struggled to get an alternative. My phobia of flying means we don't fly at all so thats good too.
I'm trying my hardest honest!!!!!
Cryo - hate to disagree but sustained walking is one of the best forms of exercise. As long as you don't amble round but walk purposefully it is fantastic as it has low impact on joints....also if you have a dappy labrador that you are having to rescue from ponds/hedges/dustbins etc you get to work out your upper body strength too
As an add on to this we have had this circulated aorund our uni:

(hope it links as don't know if you need log in)
Basically individuals who post defamatory comments could face prosecution.
Def. best to err on side of caution or make it so obscure it can't be traced
Beautifully understated 404!!!!
I took a long hard look at what I was doing and decided that if I were to complete this PhD I had to make changes I signed up for the Rosmary Conley classes as as well as a good diet you get an aerobic workout once a week. So now I am cutting out the sugar I am hoping to see more energy. I am also walking my dog for half an hour each lunchtime. Thgreat thing about the RC plan is the first two weeks you are allowed no alcohol so I feel as though I am detoxing as well!!! Probably won't lose any weight but its more about chnaging lifestyle for me...Good luck!!!!
Can't help but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
